Welcome to the Game!

Whether your daughter has been asking to try lacrosse for years or just decided she wants to give it a shot, NSGL is a great place to start.

Our program welcomes players of all experience levels, including girls who have never picked up a lacrosse stick before. Our coaches focus on teaching the fundamentals, building confidence and, most importantly, helping girls have fun and develop a love for the game.

You don't need to know how to play before you join us. We'll teach you!

What to Expect

At practices, players learn the fundamentals while practicing and playing alongside their teammates.

Players will learn skills including:

  • Catching and throwing
  • Cradling
  • Scooping ground balls
  • Dodging
  • Shooting
  • Defense
  • Positioning and teamwork
  • The rules of girls lacrosse

Lacrosse is about more than learning a new sport. It's a chance to meet new people, build confidence and become part of a team.

When is the Season?

Lacrosse is a spring sport!

Registration for the upcoming season typically opens in late November or sometime in December.

Practices start in March (or April for our youngest players) and games begin a few weeks later. The season wraps up in mid-June with the Massachusetts Youth Lacrosse (MYL) Jamboree and our annual NSGL party.
